Whilst we continue to offer our 7 day/6 night tours all year round, our Winter Break Tour offers the opportunity to get away for a short 4 day mini-tour and visit the highlights of Andalucia. The tour runs weekly from the beginning of November through to the end of February and encompasses visits to Malaga, Seville, Granada and Ronda.
We collect you upon arrival from Malaga Airport, train station or from a local hotel and you stay in our Villa near Antequera on a bed and breakfast basis. We appreciate that there may be a reduced number of European flights during the winter, so we offer flexibility on the day of the week that this tour starts to suit your preferred day of arrival.
This tour is based upon the same daily itineraries as our 7 day/6 night tour so you get to visit the key sites of the amazing Cities of Andalucia and have the most memorable of experiences.
If you can select an early morning flight for arrival and an evening flight for departure then you will maximise your visit here.
Whilst the weather in Europe cannot be guaranteed anywhere during the winter months, Andalucia experiences substantially more sunny days than most other European destinations.
Offering great value for money, why not recharge your batteries and experience some traditional Spanish Culture in these beautiful historic Cities.
Day 1: |
Arrive and spend the day/afternoon in Malaga old town, visit the Picasso Museum, the Cathedral and the Alcazaba Fortress, or, simply shop and relax. Transport to our Villa in Mollina near Antequera. |
Day 2: |
After breakfast we leave for the elegant City of Seville. Arriving in the Maria Louisa Park, we visit the Plaza Espana and then take a walk through the historic buildings of Seville arriving in the square with the Cathedral and Royal Palace. We wander through the old Jewish Quarter and take a Tapas lunch before visiting the monuments in the afternoon. We leave Seville early evening to return to the Villa. |
Day 3: |
After breakfast we leave for Granada, the jewel of Andalucia. We suggest trying some 'Chocolate y Churros' in the beautiful square, the 'Bib Rambla' near the Cathedral. We visit the area around the Cathedral, Silk Market 'Alcaiceria' and Royal Chapel (now the museum of Granada) and allow you to visit these before taking a light Tapas lunch if you have room after the Churros! We take a short walk along the River Darro to see the lovely old part of the City and then drive up to the Alhambra for an afternoon visit. After the visit we take you to the top of the Albaycin (the hill opposite the Alhambra and the Arab quarter) where you can see the Alhambra lit up at night before dining either at the renowned Restaurant 'Jardines de Zoraya' with a local authentic Flamenco performance or at any other local restaurant before returning to the Villa. |
Day 4: |
After breakfast, and subject to your flight departure time, we take you to visit the beautiful town of Ronda which has the oldest bullring in Spain and spectacular views from the famous bridge over the gorge which divides the town. From Ronda we leave for Malaga Airport for your departure. |
We request that, if possible, you only bring one carry-on suitcase of luggage per person for this tour.
